About

Hello — My name is Sarah, and I’m an information junkie, wanderer, former journalist and current techie. In August of 2011, I moved to the Twin Cities from Michigan to work at a startup software company.

In my past life, I was employed at a Gannett daily newspaper, where I wrote stories about science and health, and ran the social media and website operations. This site contains links to a large chunk of my web, multimedia and other journalism work. I’m having a great time getting to know the tech world, and have had a first six months in Minneapolis jam packed with life and work adventures.

When I say I’m a wanderer, I’m not kidding. I was raised in a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA, then moved to East Lansing, MI when I was 18 to attend Michigan State University. I then moved back to PA in 2008, to Chicago in 2009 to get a graduate degree from Northwestern University, back to Michigan in 2010 and to Minneapolis in 2011. I’m really good at throwing away things I don’t need, and scheduling moving trucks.

Even more stuff about me:
